Overview
The Aries 16 sCMOS is a next-generation BSI sCMOS camera developed exclusively by Tucsen Photonics. Offering EMCCD-level sensitivity and outperforming binned sCMOS cameras, it also boasts a high full well capacity commonly seen in large-format CCD cameras. The Aries 16 sCMOS is an excellent choice for low-light detection and high dynamic range imaging.

16 μm Large Pixels for Superior Sensitivity
Utilizing BSI sCMOS technology with a quantum efficiency of up to 90%, the Aries 16 sCMOS features a 16-micron pixel design. This large pixel size enhances sensitivity by more than 5x compared to traditional 6.5μm pixels, significantly improving low-light detection.

Ultra-Low Readout Noise of 0.9 e-
With an ultra-low readout noise of just 0.9 e-, the Aries 16 sCMOS can replace EMCCD cameras at similar speeds without the downsides of excess noise, gain aging, or export controls. While smaller pixel sCMOS sensors can achieve equivalent pixel sizes through binning, the associated noise penalty increases readout noise to 2-3 electrons, reducing sensitivity. The Aries 16 sCMOS avoids this issue, ensuring superior sensitivity.

Advanced Cooling Technology
The Aries 16 sCMOS incorporates Tucsen's advanced cooling technology, allowing a stable cooling depth of up to -60°C below ambient. This reduces dark current noise and ensures stable, reliable measurement results in long-term imaging applications.
