    Overview

The FL 9BW sCMOS is a cooled camera designed for long exposure imaging. It integrates the high sensitivity and low noise benefits of the latest sensor technologies with Tucsen’s extensive expertise in cooling chamber design and advanced image processing. This combination allows the camera to capture clean and uniform images for exposure times of up to 60 minutes.

    Long Exposure Imaging

For effective long exposure imaging, dark current and cooling depth are critical. The FL 9BW sCMOS features an impressively low dark current of just 0.0005 e-/p/s, along with a cooling depth of -25℃ at an ambient temperature of 22°C. This enables the camera to achieve high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) images in about 10 minutes, maintaining superior SNR at 60 minutes compared to traditional CCDs.

    Enhanced Quantitative Capability

The FL 9BW sCMOS incorporates Sony's glow suppression technology and Tucsen's advanced image calibration techniques to address issues such as background glow and dead pixels. This ensures a cleaner imaging background, making the camera well-suited for quantitative analysis.

    Cutting-Edge BSI-CMOS Technology

Featuring modern back-illuminated CMOS technology, the FL 9BW sCMOS delivers outstanding imaging performance. It offers a dark current comparable to that of CCDs and exceptional ultra-low light imaging capabilities, achieving a peak quantum efficiency of 92% and readout noise as low as 0.9 e-. Moreover, its frame rate and dynamic range are more than four times greater than those of conventional CCDs.
