XYZ Scan Calculator (Snouty Lightsheet)

Stage-scanned tilted light sheet. Camera width covers Y; height spans depth.

Light-sheet scan

Plane distance is measured perpendicular to the tilted light sheet, not along X or Z. Imaged depth sets the tilted field and edge overscan; no Z-stage stack is acquired.

Timing and data assumptions

Frame/line rate is a ceiling. Auto exposure = 1000 / fps. Bit depth sets unpacked storage size. Field number = 0 removes the optical field limit.

Geometry: an X translation shifts the plane by X × sin θ along its normal. To cover an XZ rectangle, the full X sweep is width + depth / tan θ. This assumes calibrated isotropic sheet-plane magnification. Optical design and scan regimes.
