Tucsen Fair Pricing
Why you start with an effective 30% discount
Am I loosing by paying less?
When you compare Tucsen cameras to other sCMOS companies such as Hamamatsu, Teledyne or Excelitas you may wonder what you're giving up when you see pricing 30-40% lower.
We want to let you know it's not quality or performance. Tucsen uses the same Gpixel sensors in our Aries & Leo series and we are in fact one of their biggest partners. Our factories are larger, newer and follow all procedures expected by our large multibillion dollar global customers who audit us yearly.
So why do we charge less?
Ownership & Structure
Tucsen is a privately run company which is growing through investing in R & D, people, facilities and tools.
Larger entities, particularly when incorporated in a big company groups, need higher pricing to help pay increase share prices. They also pay senior executives large bonus to achieve this. Overall this leads to large but expensive products as they capitalize on their positions.
Efficient R&D
Tucsen creates most new cameras within 1 year, by comparison this often takes our competitors 2-4 years.
This intense focus reduces our R&D cost per project meaning we can sell at less.
We currently have over 90 engineers working in 8 camera development teams to deliver 6-10 new cameras this year.
Volume & Purchasing Power
Tucsen produces tens of thousands of units per year and we buy components in significant volumes which helps reduce our costs significantly.
We have several key partnerships such as Gpixel for whom we are one of their largest global customers.
Efficient Sales & Marketing Structure
Tucsen has facilities across China, Singapore, the UK and United States. However our go-to-market model uses a sales light structure to help deliver lower list price products.
Likewise we attend some trade shows, but it is not our model to attend as many as our competitors, again saving cost allow us to reduce price.
Efficient use of Demonstration Equipment
The cost of an average in person demonstration for a $10,000 product is $2,000, the average cost of a demo trial is $1,000.
It's easy to see the price of people and their travel but not the depreciation, insurance, management and maintenance.
Tucsen limits it's demonstration inventory and number of demos to keep cost low.
Belief in Fair & Transparent Pricing
To be honest we believe we price correctly, we believe we deliver real value and by trying to be as efficient as possible we can be lower cost and push sCMOS Scientific cameras into a new era.
For example, see the Aries 6504 Pro, the lowest read noise sCMOS camera available.
Open & Honest
Tucsen is designed to be open and honest. We hope you can see our investments in R&D and quality and how through our private ownership and different model to our competititors we can offer fairer pricing.
